Thumpkin is a beat maker made by Sundry Mill. It is built so that almost nothing about you ever reaches us. This page says exactly what does.

Your beats and videos

Beats you make are kept in this browser's own storage on your device. The WAV and the video are made on your device too and are never uploaded. When you share a beat as a link, the whole beat is written into the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers do not send to our server, so we never see it unless you send it to us.

Sounds you record

When you tap Record, your browser asks to use the microphone. Thumpkin listens only for the two seconds of that recording, then lets go of the microphone. The sound is trimmed and kept in this browser's storage on your device, saved with your beats, and played into the videos and WAVs you make on the device. It is never uploaded, and a beat link you share does not include it.

Visits

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets no cookies, does not follow you to other sites and gives us totals, not a profile of you. Vercel, which hosts the site, also keeps short server logs (such as the IP address and the page asked for) to run and protect the service.

Thumpkin Pro

What we never do

No account, no tracking across sites, no advertising profiles, no selling or renting your details. Thumpkin never uses the camera, and the microphone only while you record a sound.

Your choices

You can clear everything Thumpkin keeps on your device by clearing this site's data in your browser (that also removes your saved beats, your recorded sounds and the Pro pass, which the receipt link brings back). To see, correct or delete what we hold about a purchase, or to ask anything about this page, email support@sundrymill.com. Polar's own records are covered by Polar's privacy policy.
